Nick Kumleben is Advisor to Azimuth portfolio company Nexaltis Minerals (critical minerals processing for semiconductors) and Azimuth portfolio company PureVolt Energy Systems (decarbonized electricity for data centers). He serves as Energy Director at Greenmantle, the geopolitical and macroeconomic advisory firm founded by Niall Ferguson, where he advises investment firms, industry, and governments on energy markets, critical minerals supply chains, and the geopolitics of commodity flows, with particular focus on the strategic relevance of critical minerals and AI-driven energy demand. Nick is a CFA charterholder and was a fellow of the Clean Energy Leadership Institute. He has contributed to the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Foreign Policy, CSIS, and AEI. He earned his BA with Highest Distinction in History (Echols Scholar) from the University of Virginia.​​
