Heath DePriest is an Operating Partner with Azimuth and a professional engineer with 25 years of broad technical, business. and supervisory experience including asset management, strategic development, growth capital implementation, and cross function optimization. Heath’s responsibilities include advancing work in Azimuth’s Low Carbon Fuels vertical, inclusive of broad strategy development and the evaluation of emerging technologies in the context of Azimuth investment opportunities. Heath is also a board member of Azimuth portfolio company, H Cycle, a platform designed to deploy proven waste conversion technology to produce low cost, low carbon hydrogen.

Heath is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Braven Environmental, a leading technology provider converting mixed waste plastics into feedstocks for second life plastic production. Prior to this, Heath held numerous key leadership positions at Phillips 66, one of the leading energy companies in the world. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Renewable Fuels and spearheaded the establishment of an Emerging Energy organization within the company focused on investments in renewable fuels, battery materials, carbon capture, and low-carbon hydrogen. His leadership drove the creation of a long-term renewables growth strategy as well as foundational investments and the creation of innovative joint ventures, establishing significant revenues streams and steering the company towards a sustainable future.
Previously, Mr. DePriest served as General Manager of Global Strategy, where he led the strategy, portfolio, and capital allocation process which culminated in a dynamic long-term vision focused on a sustainable and financially attractive future. As Manager, Midstream Growth and Strategy Execution, and subsequently as Managing Director, Midstream Terminals Business Development, he led the establishment of a new growth program that effectively deployed over $15B of growth capital leading to a Midstream organization providing $2B+ in annual EBITDA.

Heath holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
